To create an assessment, you should select the ‘New assessment’ button on the top right of the teacher dashboard page.
Having selected the button, you will be taken to the 3-step assessment creation process. Step 1 will ask you to select your class (which is pulled from ‘Classes’ in Cambridge GO), your chosen topic or chapter, and your chosen test (you can preview tests once they have been selected). Step 2 asks you to input your scheduling preferences, a start date, a due date or the option to skip. Step 3 offers the opportunity to preview and review your assessment preferences before assigning.
You will be provided with two options on Step 3: ‘Publish’ and ‘Save as draft’. ‘Publish’ will start the assessment as ‘Live’ and open a modal with a link to the assessment that can be sent to students. ‘Save as draft’ will open the assessment as a ‘Draft’; it can be made ‘Live’ by selecting the option in the menu.
For IGCSE Maths, creating an assessment creates both a Check-in and a Check-out assessment for the chosen class.
