The creation of a school or institutional account in Cambridge GO may be requested by a teacher who is employed by that school but is subject to approval by Cambridge. Read more about registering your school account.
The teacher who requests an institutional account will be that institution’s first administrator, but may appoint more administrators. Read more about the role of administrator.
Types of user in a school account: Admins, Teachers and Students
A Student account can be created by a student, by their legal guardian if they are under age, or by an authorised Admin who is attached to their institutional account in GO.
Students are allowed to access Cambridge GO and any digital products that they have either activated on their account, or which are part of a school site licence.
This can include viewing, downloading or printing content, subject to our Terms of Use.
Students can view their own progress results, but not those of other students.
Students cannot see the details of any teachers or students at their school.
A Teacher account can be created by a Teacher or by an authorised Admin who is attached to their institutional account in GO.
Teachers are allowed to access Cambridge GO and any digital products that they have either activated on their account, or which are part of a school site licence.
This can include viewing, downloading or printing content, subject to our Terms of Use. They are allowed to share content through an interactive whiteboard or screen-sharing platform.
Teachers can view the progress results of all students in their groups.
Teachers can see, but not modify, the details of all other school members. They require Admin privileges to upload or amend users.
An Admin account can be created by the Cambridge GO team when a school is first registered, or by another authorised Admin who is attached to their institutional account in GO.
Admins are allowed to access Cambridge GO and any digital products that they have either activated on their account, or which are part of a school site licence.
This can include viewing, downloading or printing content, subject to our Terms of Use. They are allowed to share content through an interactive whiteboard or screen-sharing platform.
Admins can view the progress results of all students in their groups or at their school.
Admins can upload or amend new school members. By uploading student and teacher accounts you are accepting these Terms on their behalf.
Administrators are entirely liable for all activities conducted through an institutional account, and are responsible for ensuring users are aware of our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
As an Administrator you may manage Student and Teacher accounts and access rights; and troubleshoot any issues relating to access by a Student or Teacher.
Admins can activate site licences for content that can be viewed by any member of their school.
