At the end of this onboarding tutorial, you will have registered your Cambridge GO account, registered your school on Cambridge GO, created students’ accounts and set up classes so you can begin using Cambridge Online Mathematics.

Step 1: Registering your account on Cambridge GO
This step presents the view of the teacher.
To use Cambridge Online Maths resources on Cambridge GO and use the assignment and reporting features you will need a Cambridge GO teacher account.
- Navigate to the Cambridge GO homepage.
- Select Create a teacher account from the page.
- Complete the registration form information.
- It is important to use your school email address because this will help with the school registration process.
- A code will be sent to the email address provided to confirm the account creation.
- Follow the instructions to complete account creation.
- The resources screen will be presented.
Step 2: Registering or joining your school
This step presents the view of the teacher.
To use the assignment and reporting features with your students you will need to join or set up Cambridge GO school.
The option to join a school will be presented during the account creation. If you chose to skip that step, the process can also be started from the profile menu by selecting the menu and then selecting Join a school.
Both approaches will present the same two options.
Option 1: Join a school with a joining code
- If your school is already registered with Cambridge GO, your school’s GO admin can provide a school joining code from the school management screen.
- Select Join a school with a joining code
- Enter the code
- Select Continue to join the school.
Option 2: Search for and join a school
- If you do not have a school joining code, you can search for your school to discover if it already exists.
- Select Search for and join a school
- Enter the school’s information
- Select Look for my school
- You will be presented with options that match the information given.
- If one is correct, then select the school and Continue
- If your school cannot be found, select Continue to set up your school to begin registering your school.
- Complete the registration process by filling your details into the form.
- It will take up to 3 working days to process the registration of a new school.

Step 3: Adding students to your school
This step presents the view of the teacher.
To use the assignment and reporting features with your students you will need students’ accounts to join the Cambridge GO school you have registered.
Students’, teachers’, and admins’ data can be uploaded to your school’s account using the self-service tool. Your account will need to have admin status. If you registered your school this will have been granted when the school is approved. If you joined an existing school, you will need to ask an existing admin to update your role.
- Log into your account
- Select the school profile option from the profile menu.
- This screen will present your school details.
- Select the Manage users tab
- Select upload user data
- Follow the on-screen guidance to download the user data template and complete for the teachers and students you would like to add. We recommend adding your colleagues with the admin role, so that they can help you with student queries and other tasks
- Passwords must have a minimum of eight characters and include at least one letter and number.
Step 4: Adding the product to your Cambridge GO account
This step presents the view of the teacher and student. All teachers and students are required to activate individual access codes to access Cambridge Online Mathematics.
Products are activated on Cambridge GO using a 16-digit access code. The location of the code will depend on the product purchased. For example, in a coursebook the code is located on the inside front cover.
- Log in to your account
- Select Add new resources
- Enter the code into the site and select Add to resources
- This will activate the code and begin the licence.
- The resources will be added to the resources screen.

Step 5: Creating classes in Cambridge Online Mathematics
This step presents the view of the teacher.
Classes are created within the Cambridge Online Mathematics product. To complete this step, it is important that you have joined or registered a Cambridge GO school.
- Select the resource from the Resources screen
- Select the Learner’s Book – teacher’s access resource
- Navigate to My classes in the navigation
- Select the All Classes tab
- Select Add. This will display an option box that will let you create a new class.
- Enter a name for the class.
- It is optional to add a calendar year and a school year.
- Select Add to create the new class.
Step 6: Joining your teacher account to the class
This step presents the view of the teacher.
Teachers are only able to assign work and view reports for classes that they have joined.
- Navigate to My classes in the navigation
- Select the All Classes tab
- Select the checkbox for the classes you want to join
- Select Update to join the class
- Select the My classes tab
- The class you have joined will be presented on this screen.
Step 7: Adding students to a class
This step presents the view of the teacher. Number 6 shows the view of the student.
Teachers are only able to assign work and view reports to students that have joined a class.
- Navigate to My classes in the navigation
- Select the All Classes tab
- This screen will present the classes you have joined
- Each class will have a unique class key
- Share the class key with the students you would like to join the class
- Students will be able to enter the class key on the class key screen. They will receive conformation that they have joined the class.
