At the end of this onboarding tutorial, you will be able to create a test, assign it to your students and view their results.

Prerequisites
Step 1: Creating an assessment using the test generator
This step presents the view of the teacher.
Tests allow teachers to create custom tests using the four levels of topic quiz questions. This step will show how to create a test using questions from Cambridge lower secondary 7, topic 1.1 Adding and subtracting integers.
- Navigate to the Tests screen from the navigation.
- Select Create to start creating a new test.
- Select Using Wizard. This option will help select questions from the topic.
- Enter a name for the new test
- Set the number of questions from each level. Select 2 for Level 2 and 2 for level 3 using the menus.
- Expand the resources by clicking the plus next to Cambridge lower secondary, then Lower Secondary Mathematics 7, Chapter 1: Integers
- Select the topic 1.1 Adding and subtracting integers by clicking the checkbox.
- Select Generate
- The wizard will randomly select two questions from level 2 and 2 questions from level 3.
- Add an additional level 3 question by using the search menus to select the course, chapter and topic. Set the Question level to level 3 and select search.
- Add a new question to the test by selecting the plus icon next to a question.
- Reorder the questions in the test by clicking and dragging the 6 dots icon to place the new question in a different position.
- Save the changes using the save icon.
- Preview the test using the preview icon.
- Select the back icon to return to the Tests screen.
- The new test will be listed in the My Tests tab.
Step 2: Assigning a test to a class
This step presents the view of the teacher.
Once a test has been created it will be available to assign in the My Tests screen. Tests need to be assigned for students to complete. The same test can be assigned several times and to different classes.
- Navigate to the Tests screen from the navigation.
- Select the test you want to assign by checking the tick box
- Select Assign from the options
- When Assign is selected an option box will display that will let you set the options for the test.
- Choose a format for the test. The Assessment format is designed to be completed in one sitting and answers provided to the student after the test expires. The revision format can be completed over several sittings and answers provided to the student immediately on submission. Select the revision format by clicking the button next to the option.
- Set a start date for when learners can begin the test.
- Set how long the test will be available to learners by selecting an expiry time. When the test expires, learners will not be able to complete it.
- Add a message that the learners will read before starting the task.
- Select a class from the list of classes you have joined.
10. Select Assign to send the tasks to the learners. They will receive a notification that they have a task waiting when they log in.
Step 3:View a report of a learner's test results
This step presents the view of the teacher.
Teachers can view learner’s results on the test they assign. To view this information learners will need to have completed the test.
- Navigate to the Tests screen from the navigation.
- Select the My assigned test tab
- This screen will list the tests that have been assigned. It displays when the task was assigned and will end, the class that the test was assigned to, if the task is still available to learners or has ended and the % of learners in the class that have completed the test.
- Select Student results for the test
- This screen will show an overview of each student’s results on the test.
- Selecting a learner will show the learner’s answers for each question.
